Reparing broken boards - Part 2


After a six week break to hone their surfing skills (and work on their tans) the Groms are back in action! ...

...The four original snapped boards had previously been glued back together and the Groms first task was to sand back the excess glue and re-plane the stringers around the breaks. After that they set about cleaning up the crack lines and dents ready for them to be filled with 'Q-cell'. The 'Q-cell' was mixed, poured and allowed to dry before being vigorously sanded back to a smooth finish flush with the surface of the board.
